An Uncommon Site

One of my favorite places to shop for quirky gifts is Uncommon Goods. Everything designed by creative artists and craftspeople...my first experience of the store was when they had a sample sale in NYC. I went and was blown away by their gorgeous stuff. I ended up buying a lamp made of rocks...sounds weird but it was really cool! And heavy! I had to lug it all the way to Brooklyn but it was worth it.

Anyway, they've just gotten in some really cool Tattoo Coasters, or if you have money to burn check out their ultra chic Skeleton Chair. There's always some unusual fun thing to be found at their site. I could spend hours clicking away.

Valentine's Day gift ideas

This post is for those of you stuck on gift ideas for Valentine's Day. I know that Valentine's Day is one of the most hated holidays of the year, but any excuse to buy a little something for yourself or someone you love is always fun in my mind! With that in mind, I've come up with gift ideas good for one or for two.

One of my favorite sites for things to spoil yourself with....aromatherapy lotions, oils, and the like is www.viennasherbalcompounds.com. This NYC-based aromatherapist knows how to make you feel good! My absolute favorite Vienna product is the Lavendar Oil, which can be used as a massage oil or just to make your skin feel great.

Speaking of massage, my guy and I are going to celebrate Valentine's Day by getting one and then taking a Partner Yoga Workshop...if this sounds like fun then check around at your local yoga studios because many will do a partner workshop around Valentine's Day.
